hipseat

http://www.hippychick.com/index.cfm/children/Products.Details/product_id/15/subject/hippychick_hipseat_black

The Hippychick Hipseat is a back supporting belt, with an integral padded foam shelf, developed to allow adults to carry their children naturally on their hip without the usual strains on the back.
Specifically designed to address one of the root causes of adult back pain, the seat provides a firm shelf for the child to sit on and supports their increasingly heavy weight from underneath. Instead of twisting the spine, the back stays straight and the child is tucked into the chest on whichever side is more comfortable for the wearer, providing comfort and security for both adult and child.

  • Endorsed and recommended by osteopaths, chiropractors, physiotherapists and health centres
  • Fits all sizes (extension available for more comfortable figures)
  • Fully tested by British Standards Institute
  • Removable lightweight seat
  • Simple, practical and easy to use
  • Secure inner pockets
  • Machine washable
  • Suitable for children aged 6 months - 3 years

home dinner

with MIB in the tummy, home dinner gets healthier: rice / noodles, dark green veggies -- a.k.a. choi sum / gai larn , tofu, sardines and/or eggs...

GMm asked if PP likes it, well, at least he hasn't complained... yet... :P

my new dream car 2009

http://www.stokke-stroller.com/en-hk/stokke-xplory-stroller.aspx

My favourite 2 features:
1. Elevated seating
Stokke Xplory is the only stroller or pushchair that elevates your child to be closer to you. Closeness. Being close to your child allows you to keep contact and interact in a way that lower strollers and push chairs are unable to imitate, strengthening your child's feeling of security, comfort, and happiness.

2. Two way seating.
The Stokke Xplory seat lets you adjust the seating in two directions. Further enhances your child's experience: Facing you for closeness, bonding and interaction, and facing forward for an exciting view of their surroundings.

bored by meetings

apparently MIB never wakes up when i have meetings, guess he finds them too boring to even bother... :P

i wish i could sleep the meetings away as he does...

multi-language weekend

MIB happened to be exposed to different languages last weekend (7th & 8th Mar 09) -- unintentional by Qr:

he listened to korean in 酷愛 (happened to have TV on)
he listened to richard scarry's best learning songs viedo ever, and brainy baby on music, which are in english
he listened to japanese in XX戰隊 (happened to have TV on again)
he listened to an audio CD reading putonghua & french vocabularies alternatively

as usual, he also listened to Qr reading bedtime stories to him, as well as to MIB papa talking about the news to him, for which he loved and reacted most by moving around... :)

seat-giving

this morning, i had my first experience of being given a seat in the MTR train, it's not from any hongkong-er -- unsurprisingly-- but a philipino maid...

achievement from spring baby fair

my first time at baby fair, proudly didn't buy much...

and now mon petit prince has a turtle (which is a gift from marriott resort club, yes, marriot resort club, quite 九唔搭八...

delivery from london

Auntie Farica also helped me bring back plain white cotton baby essentials from marks & spencer, why all the way from london? look at this: 6 GBP for 7 short-sleeve body suits, 7 GBP for 3 long-sleeve sleep suits -- even cheaper than 花園街... :o :o :o

gift from Auntie Farica during her business trip in London... from my favourite marks & spencer...

more gifts from prince papa

different animals -- bunny, cow / ox, froggy, crocodile -- to be introduced to mon petit prince and a greeny crocodile for mon petit prince to cuddle with in the coming nites...

can't say it's lovely, just... alien... :)

presents from all over the world...

after the existence of alien, GMm and Auntie w were the one who brought in presents from the western shore of the states, with the especially cute socks... :)

Then, there are gifts from Auntie x from the eastern shore of the states, but she's too shy and insisted her gifts not to be disclosed, which include a playpen, sleepsuits, bodysuits, socks, hats, muffs, milk bottle dryer, plush, etc... unused and/or unwanted since her little prince m has out-grown them... :)
Then there are gifts from Auntie Rachel from amsterdam... at that time, the gender of my little alien was unknown yet, but the colours seem perfect now... :)

lastly, for the time being, gifts from Auntie Eliza, whom i haven't met for over n years, delivered by Auntie Joanne (!), of the pastel yet sharp yellow baby set, which i'm sure mon petit prince can't wait to put them on... :)

at the beginning - my little alien

here is the start of the story, with the planned but early arrival of my little alien... :)
