pp this morning was guai guai again, and played on his own in bed before Qr went in to attend him. Then something new: when he wants 'po po', he used two hands to catch my right arm and pulled it and did not let me go... :)
pp these days shows that he really recognizes Qr and will smile happily when he sees Qr, and will look for Qr when he hears her voice, and stares at Qr when he sees her... sooo sweet.. :) he will also stares at Qr when she is feeding him, looks like he wants to remember Qr's face and study her face hard. when Qr talks to him, he will also stare at Qr's lips, like he's learning to imitate how the lips move.
Off work at 16:00 and could see pp early... great!!! ^o^
pp had another 1/2 bowl of nestle rice woo tsai... good boy!

pp has grown up and learned to play by himself. in the morning when he woke up, he wouldn't cry immediately but played on his own until somebody went to his bed to attend him. he now learned to open his arms and hands to ask for 'po po'.
pp had woo tsai in the afternoon at home, and he finished only 1/3 bowl. at night, pp finished the rest of pear & apricot smoothie, about 1 tablespoon. he struggled when eating, looked like he didn't want to eat, but when the spoon was in his mouth, he woul be quiet for a second to taste the smoothie and then get crazy again..
tonight when Qr removed his hand when he tried to suck his fingers, he would persistently tried to put it back. when Qr removed his hand again, he tried to use another hand to push his hand into his mouth and secure it there. When Qr removed his hand again, he stared at Qr and complained.. :P

Qr was still sick but went to work today...
pp finally poopoo-ed after 72 hours... so we fed him with the organic pear & apricot smoothie again. pppp fed him one serving in the afternoon, and at night, Qr fed pp with another serving. pp cried to complain when he didn't have enough.. :P
when feeding pp, Qr taught pp to 'arr' to open his mouth. pp was so cute -- he would look at Qr when he heard Qr 'arr'.. then he would try to open his mouth to imitate Qr, at that time Qr would put the spoon into pp's mouth and praised him. and pp would wait for next spoonful very impatiently. :)

Met with auntie TT, uncle Patrick, uncle William, uncle Hei & auntie Florence first time as a gang.
Then we had baby gathering with Lyly (Lydia - 5 days old than pp), auntie Lolo - her mother, uncle Leo - her father, auntie Pauline and 17-month-old eldon, and uncle Lawrence, his wife, a almost-4-year-old son & a 16-month-old daughter.
eldon was the dinosaur in the evening and was not afraid to fight again the 4-year-old. Qr joked that pp needed to learn 'wing chun' or judo before playing with eldon... :P
pp has officially eaten his toes as well... hahaha

joined 0906 baby 6-month-old birthday party!!!
pp had heinz organic pear & apricot smooth at night. we sat him in the air-pumped chair. after the 1st serving (~ 3/4 tablespoon), he cried when we said 'finished'. finally, we gave him 2 more servings, total ~ 2 tablespoons of 'smoothie' and he stopped complaining when we removed the spoon and bowl.

pp's 1st christmas day!!!
this morning, pp played for quite some time by himself in Qr's bed. after he poopoo-ed he started to 'ng--ng--ng' and kept on patting pppp to wake him up to change diapers for him... :o

winter solstice.. picked up pp at 18:00, took a bath, watched tv programme on benji's and then went to have italian winter solstice dinner.
teacher said that pp didn't go to sleep today. he held tightly a 'doll' and talked to it for long long time. when teacher took him out to the baby-pick-up area, and sat him down on the mat, pp saw me and smiled happily and got excited... sooo sweet :)

had winter solstice lunch with GG & PP et. al... during lunch, a guy next table played with pp, and liked pp so much that he gave pp a pair of baby gloves. it turned out that he is a distributor of some organic baby clothings and therefore had some baby stuff with him to give pp.. :)
at night, went to cwb for 'chi farn' as siu ye. the uncle waiter there said pp ho lian tasi.. and said he looked like Qr. hohoho...

it's 00:15, and pp just stopped crying in bed... took a look of him in bed, and he was lying on his tummy falling into sleep... then he started whining again now... >_<
it's 00:22, and pp stopped whining in bed, so quiet, Qr gotta take a look again -- sometimes, one gets more worried when the baby is too quiet... one wonders if something has gone wrong. but then when s/he cries, one wonders if something is wrong, too... x_x

not sure if it's because of the green tea in the afternoon or not, pp didn't go to sleep until after 23:00 (normally he started sleeping around 22:00), and then he woke up at 01:40, 03:30, and 06:00.
in the evening, Qr fed him in Qr's bed, and both napped till 22:30.. when both Qr and pp woke up in bed, he was smiling sweetly looking at Qr, and then, like falling into a coma, he slowly had his eyes closed and posture frozen... Qr carried him back to his bed. he slept for a little while and then he started crying.. Qr held him up after he cried for a while, and then pp continued to cry whenever Qr put him back into his own bed... wonder why...

although Qr and pp didn't return home until shortly before midnight, pp woke up before 06:00 in the morning. Qr and pp had several educational fun before heading to ifc to meeting with jiejie Jacqueline for catch up. had a late lunch with jiejie Jacqueline and pp received some presents again.. :)

busy day... had christmas party at the creche in the morning. then went for pekip afterwards. back home to take a bath before going out again to visit Qi's palace for our annual christmas / dec birthday gathering.
made christmas hat with pp (while he was asleep), and made cookies at the creche. discussed with the teachers how pp was at the creche. they thought that pp behaved well at the creche, but just being lazy... :P finally saw the bed pp was in at the creche, and the 'classrooms' where he spent most of his weekdays...
last pekip class this year, and pp poo-poo-ed in the class!!!

trained pp to sit by putting him in the ritchell chair... he kept on hitting the column in between the legs like hitting a drum.. quite funny.. :)
tonight, played with pp in Qr's bed. he rolled over on his tummy and looked back and Qr like playing peekapoo, and laughed out loud. then he rolled back to be on his back, and rolled over again to look at me and laughed out loud again...

pp liked to stick out his tongue a lot to play with.. and he usually smiled when doing so. :)

pp tried to talk to Qr. :o
this evening, the same dilenma between Qr and pp. Qr wanted to help pp take a bath first, because of the cold weather. pp wanted to have milk first, which means after milk, still need to wait for 20 - 30 minutes before pp could take a bath, which will be quite late.
pp cried. Qr removed his clothes and took him to the bath tub. Before Qr wetted pp's hair, pp looked at Qr, stopped criying and talked 'er - er - er - er ----'. so Qr asked pp if he really wanted to have milk first. he continued to talk. so Qr dropped the towel and took him out to the feeding chair. pp continued to talk, but when Qr sat in the feeding chair, he stopped talking and looked at Qr expectantly, waiting to be fed. pp is really growing up...

had dimsum lunch with GMmo, GMmo's mom & auntie bean. first time at the driver seat of a mercedes for pp, too.
in the evening, auntie fanny, uncle simon and 子謙 gor gor (14-mth-old) came visit Qr and pp and gave pp 子謙 gor gor's out-grown clothes.. :)

This morning Qr took pp to the doctor's for vaccination. First day to use the carrier vertically with pp. he was fine with it when he was not whining for milk or sleep... but when he was whining, he tried to climb up by straigt-ening himself like a steel rod, pressing his toes on my thigh, arms straightened to push away from me, and fingers scratching my arms to move up... really funny... :P
pp knows what is pain, too.. he cried when the doctor did the injection.
pp went to harbour city and saw the christmas decoration @ the stairs... he looked quite stunned with the decoration and stared at them...
pp's first time to take the ferry. he looke d at the harbour and was very calm. :)

Qr took a day off to be with pp... :)
pp had a long day today: spent the morning in central, then pekip class in wanchai, late lunch @ elements with GMmo, visited Qr's office, and lastly visited Dr. Wu as well.
pp MET tons of people today and most of them said that pp looks like Qr; pp was well-behaved; pp was lovely; pp was cute; pp was handsome; pp was calm; pp was jing ling... 承大家貴言 la... :)

pp went to sleep before 23:00 last night and woke up at 06:30 this morning, hopefully he could go back to this schedule, and better if he could start sleeping even earlier, although it means Qr would have less time to play with him, but he would get more rest...
quick bath and feeding after picking him up from the creche and he fell asleep while feeding...
these two days, pp poopooed every time after feeding. today he had poopooed 8 times already (not much each time), with the running nose and coughing, Qr wondered is he's virus infection. luckily he still ate, played, laughed and rolled over when he was awake.

Qr noticed pp's new trick today: high pitch screaming -- probably learned it from the creche.
an old trick which was strengthened: growled like a dinosaur -- not that Qr has heard how dinosaurs growled in person, but you know what Qr means...
now pp is more demanding, he may not stop crying immediately even if you hold him -- he has to complain by crying for a little more while to let you know that he's not happy..

Qr noticed pp's new trick today: high pitch screaming -- probably learned it from the creche.
an old trick which was strengthened: growled like a dinosaur -- not that Qr has heard how dinosaurs growled in person, but you know what Qr means...
now pp is more demanding, he may not stop crying immediately even if you hold him -- he has to complain by crying for a little more while to let you know that he's not happy..

pp went to bed around 00:30 and didn't wake up until 09:45 today!!!!!
tonite, pp could roll back over to lie on his back by himself (to his left), first time ever!!!!!

29 Oct (Thu) was a hectic day. Qr woke up at 5, got herself ready for work and pp ready for creche by 08:00. back to work and appointments started: 09:30 - 11:30, 11:30 - 12:30, 13:00 - 14:00, 15:00 - 15:30, 15:30 - 16:30. 17:35, official work-end time, Qr rushed for a taxi to go to the creche to pick up pp.
back home right away, washed pp in a bath, dressed him up for the flight, then washed all the bottles and pump, sterilized them, and Qr washed herself. Dressed Qr for the flight as well, packed all the last-minute things (such as vaseline, diaper rash barrier, pumps, etc.), started unplugging electrical appliances, turned off water valves for the washing machine and drinking machine. At the same time, GMmo had arrived. Qr started feeding pp before leaving home, and GMmo helped Qr hold pp while Qr made the last check before taking off.
Called the taxi in advance and we went straight to the airport. Grandma had arrived already and we all went for check-in counter D. While Qr knew that the stroller would be not stored away until Qr and pp arrived at the gate, it didn't turn out clearly until at the gate that the stroller would not be returned back to me @ paris, but would go all the way to nuremberg. It meant that I had to hand-hold pp during the transit all the way!!!
Qr and GMmo had dinner @ burger king, and then Qr took pictures of pp @ departure hall before going inside. pp had been sleeping @ burger king, and Qr didn't need to wake him up while going through customs and immigration. Customs just checked the stroller if anything was hidden inside, and the officer asked me beforehand whether pp was a boy or girl. Guess it determines whether they had a male or female office to check the stroller.
Qr couldn't go through e-channel as pp doesn't have a relevant HKID. so Qr and pp went through counter, and the immigration officer did open pp's passport to check pp's look. Qr wondered if she could really tell the picture was pp's... :P
with pp, Qr could go the fast lane (e.g. @ gate to the flight, @ paris charles-de-gaulle airport to go through immigration, and to go through customs). however, other than that, not much privileges.. ~_~

took pp to the souvenir shop @ terminal 2G and see if he wanted anything from paris, but nothing aroused his interest.. 'harn farn'.. :D
That night, we all went to uncle Charles's home to have dinner with auntie lina and auntie fang. We had a great night.

1 Nov (Sun), temperature lingered from time to time. every thing was closed on sunday. we went out to samui for lunch and headed back home straightaway.
2 Nov (Mon), temperature died down, but sneezes and coughs started coming. it was a rainy day. we went to Haru, the best japanese restaurant in the area, for lunch, and then went to the 3-storey supermarket again. pp was asleep so we didn't linger.
3 Nov (Tue), sneezes and coughs lingered. pp did look more energetic. the weather was fine, so we headed towards our favourite toy shop in erlangen. Qr bought pp 3 toys -- she wanted to buy more but pp started crying. Then we went to 樂宮樓 upstairs for lunch -- we ordered 回鍋肉 & 芒果雞. Afterwards, we went to the park (used to be the backyard of a palace in erlangen) for a walk, but pp had fallen asleep already.
4 Nov (Wed), pp had running noses and coughs, and slept badly at night. So Qr and pppp looked for pediatrician available. Holger recommended one in herzo, but the clinic closed at 11:00 in the morning (yes, the pediatrician only opens from 09:00 - 11:00 on Mon, Wed, and Fri; and 15:00 - 17:00 on Tue and Thu). Tilo found a Dr. Med Karl-Heinz Lippen and made an appointment for us at 14:20. The doc said pp was still warm. she gave pp a signed paper to go to the pharmacy to buy nasal decongestion drops ('coz we already have the medication for temperature)
5 Nov (Thu), pp's temperature had died down again, so we stopped giving him the syrup for lowering temperature. We gave him a nasal drop in the morning to ease his congestion, but we didn't do it often because from the web, it says that the drop is for baby above 1 year of age... :o in the evening, we went to kleine welt / irish pub for dinner, the best pub with the best salad and best steak in town. afterwards, we went to aldi for replenishment of breakfast ingredients.
6 Nov (Fri), running nose and coughs lingered, but pp was still energetic. it was one fine day here, with sunshine and no clouds. So we went to the zoo, the biggest zoo in europe. afterwards, we went to have traditional german food -- schweine haxen and nurnberger sausages, and bought the christmas biscuits as souvenirs.
7 Nov (Sat), someone bought the couch and took part of them this morning. Afterwards, we went out to the city centre, my 2 favourite toy shops to buy gifts for Holger's son, Bas, and for Sandra's Luca & Giacomo, and of course, for my pp. :) only had time for a chinese noodles and Mcd 1 Euro burgers as lunch. Back home for a bit, and headed towards Holgers' home. Arrived there at 16:30 and stayed till 20:xx to catch up with Holger, meet with his wife Lina, his 2 daughters Jedde (?) & Jule, as well as his 8-month-old son, Bas. had home-made frankonian food as dinner. :)
8 Nov (Sun), went out for late lunch, then visited the new museum. pp again was asleep X_x. in the evening, went to auntie fang's for dinner with uncle charles, auntie lina n auntie claire.
9 Nov (Mon) stayed in for the day until the evening. we had an early lunch @ Tio, and then went for supermarket. pp was awake this time so Qr held him and walked around the supermarket. he looked around, very curious... :)
10 Nov (Tue) pppp went for work. pp and Qr stayed in for the day. In the evening, pppp returned and drove us to the airport to have italian dinner. :)
11 Nov (Wed) pppp drove Qr and pp to WOS for breakfast. They came across Laura and Tanya, as well as Simone. Then Qr and pp visited friends like Carolina, Daisy, Anna, Alex. Meier, and waved hands with Sophia. pppp came pick Qr and pp up and we had dinner at downtown, the famous pork chop place. Afterwards, pppp drove pp and Qr back home, and then he went back for work.
At 18:00, pppp returned home from work, and we went out to go to Sandra's to meet with Giacomo and Luca, and of course Simone. We had great dinner until 23:00. Both Qr and pp got a lot of presents... :)
12 Nov (Thu) last day here. pppp went for work, and Qr and pp stayed in. Qr started taking pictures of the presents, and started packing. Lots to pack indeed... :o at night, Paul came over to take the last piece of sofa. Then we went out to meet with uncle tilo, uncle libor and uncle jurgen to have all-you-can-eat sushi.
13 Nov (Fri), packed stuff. at 12:30 met with auntie angeline (who was due in 3 weeks) and uncle arnold to have italian lunch and then went to a baby shop to look at stuff. Afterwards, we went back home to pack the last thing and left home at 17:15. Went to downtown to pick up Auntie Magham, went together to the airport, and passed the car to her... byebye BMW...
checked in, had McD for quick dinner, and went to the gate for on-board. at the last minutes -- 10 minutes before scheduled take-off, the flight was cancelled due to technical problem. :o
we returned back to the airport service counter and lined up to arrange new flights and overnight accomodation. surprisingly, no one let Qr and pp to do the arrangement first. at last, pp started crying and Qr had to explicitly request the lady at the counter to help us first so that pp could settle down at the hotel to rest.
the hotel was quite nice. we had dinner and rested for the night.
14 Nov (Sat) went to check in in the morning and then we went back to the hotel to have breakfast -- there's even baby food choice for pp. took the 10:45 flight to paris and then 13:30 flight to HK. Noon flight was really tiring O_o
15 Nov (Sun) finally arrived at HK at 08:00 intact... when we arrived at the gate entrance, several airline stewardesses were standing there waiting for passengers for transit... when they was Qr & pp passed by, they exclaimed in unision "好細粒呀!!!" :o so funny!!!

pp woke up at 05:00, had milk, played a little, and Qr put him back to bed as she needed to get prepared as well.
07:10 woke pp up to feed him a bit again, got him dressed and we headed toward the creche.

tmr is holiday, so pp could stay with Qr for one more night. Quiet day today, Qr & pp stayed in for the whole day.
today, pppp and Qr witnessed pp on his tummy moving himself forward in bed for about 20 cm. ^o^ these days, pp liked to pushed up his petpet after he rolled over, and used his feet to try to move himself forward... smart boy!!! :)

pp was 4 months old!!!
a very busy day. pekip class in the morning with GMHeidi as the photographer, then went over to GMHeidi's office to burn disc and to have lunch box together.
afterwards, Qr went to elements to meet upwith GMmo and Auntie Woo for a ride home.
arrived at home, Qr quickly bathed pp, while Auntie woo duplicated some of pp's videos.
briefly, we left Qr's palace to go to GMmo's place to visit mmom & mdad. bean was there too. mmom & pp played for a while, and then we all met up with Qi who drove us to her palace with Castor & Pollux.
GMJasmine and Auntie Regina arrived shortly afterwards, with dinner delivery and birthday cake for pp. We left around 22:3x and Auntie Regina gave Qr & pp a ride home. :)

had physio in the evening for the wrist pain. visited pp afterwards, let him have apple again and taped it... :) he laughed happily when tasting the apple... Qr also let him try the orange, he was less enthusiastic, but still sucked it
these days, Qr held him upside down twice when she visited him and when pp was at home. hopefully this could build up his sense of balance and bravery... :)

Qr worried that he liked the sweet taste of apple and would refuse to drink milk, so Qr took the apple out of pp's mouth, and pp started to cry... :o

Qr & pp both fell into a coma last night. pp slept before 22:00 and Qr followed. qr woke up at 02:xx to make production. then pp woke up at 05:00 for food. Let him sleep on Qr's bed afterwards and both Qr & pp didn't wake up again until 08:00.
Took pp to grandma's and showed her how pp could hold up his legs under instruction. :)

went to see the creche principal in the morning for registration. GMmo came over to accompany Qr & pp. pp slept most of the time. when he woke up and the principal talked to him, he was still 'm-own m-own day'.
before noon we went for pekip class, and Auntie winwin came over later. today was mainly mirror exercise.. wondering if i need to get one for him. currently, i only have a mirror in the bathroom, but babies seem to like to look into the mirror a lot.
pp has learnt how to grap the thing that's put above his chest with two hands. :)

arrived at grandma's and pp just woke up on the portable playmet. he looked so confused on his tummy, head held up high, with eyes wide open. he stared at Qr but seemed like he couldn't recognize anything. eventually when Qr held him in her arms, and talked and sang to him, and he started to give big smiles.. :)
at night at home, put him in bed after he finished milk, and some reading exercises. surprisingly, he didn't cry or anything -- he played a little with the toy hanging on the bed side, then sucked his fingers to go to sleep. and when he's sleeping, he pulled his fingers out of his mouth. good boy!!!
pp-pick up day again. one more week like this and the schedule will be totally changed.

went to Qi's with GMmo to have dinner with Castor & Pollux & King. had skype there with pp, too, so that they wouldn't need to wait for Qr to go back home to skype them.

dew time, Qr had sold all the xxx shares, after 8 years, 10 months and 5 days... all let go -- at quite a good price.. :P
great news today!!! the creche has admitted pp...
it means pp can come back to sleep every night at Qr's, and pp and Qr will have more time together... however, it also means:
- an additional monthly cost
- inflexible time schedule: fixed time to take pp to the creche, and pick up pp by certain time as well
- can't have facial at night anymore
- when can i have my hair cut / facial / body treatment?
- pp will be with me for dinner gatherings
- outsourcing of housework

checked with pp's grandma in the morning, pp's temperature had finally gone down.
skyped him at night, he would now use one hand to hold another hand so that the second one will be securely placed in front of the mouth for licking & sucking, smart boy. in fact, on friday evening when Qr picked pp up from the creche, he came out from the room with one hand holding another, it was a milestone indeed.
pp could now also hold one toy with 2 hands, smart boy!!! can't wait to practise what was learnt at pekip on saturday -- baby gymnastics and upside down...

pp had temperature at night, Qr moved him to Qr's bed after midnight, and fed him every 2 hours to prevent dehydration. pp was soooo cute when he was about to wake up, opened his eyes wide, and started stretching his arms and legs whole body yawning...

pp slept on his back at night, but in the morning, rolled and slept on his tummy. he cried more often these days. Qr believed it's because he couldn't roll back over, so he needed to cry for help, and he couldn't roll over if he was already on his tummy... :P
he rolled smoothly to the right, but he still needed help to roll to the left, and it will be some time until he could roll back on to his back by himself.
a busy day for pp.. today he had 2 vaccination and one oral dose + pekip.
met auntie fafa @ mtr and we went to the doctor together. measurement as follows:
head circumference: 43 cm (90th percentile)
weight: 6.4 kg (14.08 pounds, 25th percentile)
length: 65 cm (26 inch / 2 feet 2 inch, 90th percentile)
so the head has grown 'smaller'... hahaha :P
then pp had one dose of 6-in-1, one rotarix and one prevenar. he was crying not because of the vaccination but because Qr didn't hold him in his favourite position, but his crying faded out when he had the oral dose because it tasted sweet. :)
afterwards, auntie fafa fed pp at the clinic before we parted for different destination.
pekip class was quite demanding today, a lot of exercises not only for pp but also Qr. Auntie Florence & Uncle Hei did a great job in taking photographs and videos. pp laughed a lot until he felt tired at the end of the session and had to skip the massage part.
today pp was held by the calves to be upside down above the playmat. he had no complaints at all.
we then went for afternoon tea @ chinese tea club... nice environment. :)

today was creche day, the teacher commented that pp 'ngou' more than the past, which Qr also noticed. since he liked to roll over now, but couldn't roll back, so whenever he's tired of being on his tummy, or wanted to roll again, he cried. the teacher also said that pp rolled over really fast... :)
but pp was very ngou geai at night, wanted to be held to go to sleep and woke up when Qr wanted to put him in bed. lastly had to let him cry (and scream) till tired to hold him and get him to bed.

pp-pick up day... pp had been very keen practising roll over to the right. now he will starely at Qr with his talking eyes...
put him in bed at home before 22:00 and he slept on his tummy until 04:xx. he could have slept even more, but Qr found that he started sucking his fingers again, that's why Qr removed his hand from his mouth & woek him up.

skyped pp. Per grandma, pp no longer wanted to be held to put him into sleep -- he wanted to roll over himself and slept on his tummy. he was not interested in the toys anymore, but rolled over. he was not interested in other teether, either, except his own hands / fingers.

First time saw pp roll over!!!
all of a sudden, pp could roll over today, witnessed and taped it this evening when Qr went to visit him @ grandma's.
he really grows very fast... while Qr was still practicing rolling with pp during the long weekend, he could now do it himself! he couldn't roll back at the moment, but who knows? pp could always surprise us

First day of swimming!!!
Qi picked up auntie woo & Qr + pp after pollux' double bass lesson in the morning. On the way to Qi's palace GMmo was picked up, too.
After settling down at palace, we got ready for the pool at club house. There was a 1-2 year old swimming bodysuit at Qi's and it was ok-fit for pp after he had the swimming nappy on.
We first went to the indoor big pool, but the water was quite cool. then the kids found an indoor small hot pool. we played there for a while but the water was in fact quite warm -- even warmer than the bathing water qr prepared for pp. so we next moved to an outdoor small pool. that was the best one -- the water had been under the sun so it was a bit warm, but not as warm as the one indoor.
pp was not too afraid of the water. when there was splashes, he just closed his eyes and frowned a bit. Qr put him under water twice, each time around a second, and he didn't cry, very o力仔!!!
pp played a little while and Qr called it a day. he soon slept soundly in Qr's arms.

in the morning, Qr played the piano for pp :)
today Qr & pp went to visit auntie Liza with GMmo, auntie woo & auntie fafa. we first met @ kln tong club for lunch with her hubby & carsten, and then we went to auntie liza's to see her daughter kristen as well. kristen is 6 months old, 7 pounds heavier than pp, but they are of the same length.. :P
we had a nice afternoon and pp got presents from auntie liza, GMmo & auntie woo, too... :)

pp is 100 days old!!!
it was a work day but Qr had taken the day off so that pp could stay with Qr from wed night till sunday afternoon, and Qr could celebrate pp's 100 days old with pp.
had a quick treatment for Qr, then had lunch with auntie angie @ mandarin. afterwards, Qr & pp went to the piers for pp to look at the harbour first time ever in his life. then we went to ifc roof garden for a while before we headed back home.
pp slept again before 22:00.

national holiday. pp woke up after 06:xx. played with pp & pppp for a while before pppp went to sleep. got ready for morning tea with Qr's family. then pp went over to GG & PP's home the first time in life, poo-pooed there and learned to sit on the couch (Qr's has no couch for him to lean on)
back home in the afternoon and decided not to go out again given so many celebrating activities in different districts. Qr even forgot about the fireworks and both Qr and pp went to bed before 22:00.

A small crisis today -- Qr found a box of Quaker's oat squares and brought it back to the office as snack. then she found that her productivity... startled, she checked the ingredients of the squares and found that it contains malt sugar!!! as a remedial action, Qr quickly bought some fish soup during lunch time and bottom it up... lucky lucky...
quite a few habits have been changed since pp was born:
1. Qr drinks milk twice a day
2. Qr has breakfast
3. Qr has rice as breakfast
4. Qr wakes up early / in the midddle of the night for production

met with auntie rachel in the morning @ elements.. we ate @ lei garden. pp went crazy @ lei garden, which was expected, and poo-ed twice... :P
afterwards, Qr and pp went to metrobooks, the first time Qr took pp to a bookstore. pp was quite calm at the beginning, and Qr started to show him books. first Qr looked at a box of croco pen and he looked at it intently as well. then Qr showed him Thomas the engine, and he got excited, hands waving and he tried to say something. afterwards, Qr took him to the dr. seuss bookshelf and showed him dr. seuss' ABC and other dr. seuss' books, and he was even more excited, hands waving sooo much like he wants to grab the book, and he talked as well, though Qr didn't know what he wanted to say. and then Qr showed pp other books to see if pp got excited by books in general, or in particular by thomas & dr. seuss -- it turned out that he didn't like a black-and-white book (guess he has out-grown that), and no response when seeing mr. men's collection (too bad)...

studying the potential development of babies, and Qr realized that pp could have achieved more... not to push him, but to at least give him the exposure, Qr believed every baby deserves the opportunity... therefore, Qr indeed seriously thinks about making pp her sole project in the near future... let's see.
went to the doc in the morning to look at pp's skin problem. weighed pp as well: 5.96 kg, 25 - 50 percentile. Given pp was born with 3.09 kg in Jun, Qr expected him to grow ~1 kg / month -- met expectation. :)
took taxi to pekip class, a bit late but the class started late as well. had fun with pp there, though he was hungry in the middle of the session and had to skip a little bit of class. took mtr and then mini-bus home, the ride was not too bad albeit holding pp and with 2 bags of stuff.
back home, washed pp, fed him, and played with him when he was awake. just wish i had more time to play with him to help him develop his potential and had great fun in the process.

according to grandpa, pp could now flip over and flip back... grandma and Qr found it quite amazing.. last night, grandma said pp indeed could flip over to the right hand side (his favourite side) twice, but was stuck there and couldn't flip back... still Qr hasn't witness any of such action yet...

3 months la!!! bought a black forest cake with a lot of strawberries - his favourite colours: red and 'black' - to celebrate pp's 3 months' birthday with pp and his grandparents. Qr let pp smell and taste the strawberry and blueberry -- pp indeed stuck out his tongue to lick the fruits... :)

had a cleaner demo tonight... it's quite good, but expensive, and Qr wonder if she'll use it often... better leave it to pppp to handle.. :P

visited pp tonight... he had grown fast... tonight he could grab a toy and shake it -- if it's soft and light, he can shake really fast, if it's hard (plastic) and heavy, he hit himself. when Qr arrived, he was just shaking a plastic 'long long' and hit his mouth. he saw Qr and started to 'bin zui' and gave a poor look for care and attention. When grandma clapped her hands above him, he waved his hands crazily trying to imitate the action, but couldn't yet...
pp was still very 'gun cheung' when trying to do something, and he would hold his fingers tightly into a fist and shake his hands crazily as well...
he 'talked' a lot to Qr tonight, wish Qr could spend more time with pp...

had been confirming a dinner gathering, and didn't notice until this morning that the date was in fact pp's 3 months' birthday, so Qr gotta pass lor, need to celebrate with pp ma. :)
didn't see pp until late tonight, he was already sleeping soundly during the last feeding by grandma.
'big wash' today, two loads of pp's clothes and towels, and another load of pp's new clothes waiting -- can't wash it as no more space to hang them dry.. :P
a lot of stuff to clean or steam, too, but tomorrow is pp visit night, so probably no time to do it.
had been confirming a dinner gathering, and didn't notice until this morning that the date was in fact pp's 3 months' birthday, so Qr gotta pass lor, need to celebrate with pp ma. :)
didn't see pp until late tonight, he was already sleeping soundly during the last feeding by grandma.
'big wash' today, two loads of pp's clothes and towels, and another load of pp's new clothes waiting -- can't wash it as no more space to hang them dry.. :P
a lot of stuff to clean or steam, too, but tomorrow is pp visit night, so probably no time to do it.

day to take pp to grandma's again... after woken up at 01:xx, pp slept till 07:00, and took a nap again at 08:xx for roughly an hour. in between his sleeping moments, Qr and pp practised the exercises from pekip class, sang and played and started officially to watch and listen to baby dvds -- at least Qr turned the tv open, but didn't care much if pp watched or not -- in fact, Qr wouldn't mind if pp didn't watch but just listened to the stories / songs.
GMmo dropped by to play with pp, while Qr could do some housework. Then Qr bathed and fed pp and kicked off to go to grandma's.
Qr did some shopping for pp afterwards... happy.. ^o^

2nd pekip class today. auntie win was the photographer this time. pp had been very uncooperative in the morning, and didn't sleep or eat at the right time.
luckily, Qr and pp arrived at the centre half an hour before, and Qr could feed pp there. pp fell asleep while eating. when the class began, he woke up and wanted to cry, Qr sang him a few songs to turn him into a smiling boy.

got up ~ 05:xx this morning, got Qr herself ready, then woke pp up to clean him, feed him, play with him, talk to him, get him changed, and we took off for the creche. came across my colleague on my way out of the creche.. her baby was a big baby... :)
rush to pick pp up after work, 5 minutes late and got warned by the miss there... :P
tonight pp was very ngou geai, cried a lot and VERY loud.. it didn't help even Qr held him in his favourite position, so Qr put him back in bed and he cried himself to sleep...

pp pick-up day. he was sleeping when Qr arrived at his grandma's.. so Qr had dinner first, then took some pictures of pp, and then pp woke up -- and cried right away. fed him with 70ml bmilk and when Qr tried to feed him more, he started to cry and whine -- like the milk bottle contained poison.
So Qr gave up feeding and left for home. pp behaved all the way home and only cried after we arrived home. Qr fed him the 80ml pre-prepared.
after playing with him for a while, Qr left him in bed to do the housework. pp started to cry and lasted for approx. 30 minutes. Qr went in to take a look at pp. pp saw Qr and cried even louder. Qr faced him closer and he cried even louder, and almost made me deaf. held him up and then he started to sleep finally...

skyped pp at night. grandma said this week he's not eating well.. would it be the so-called 厭奶期?
tonight Qr dupped pictures of pp for his grandparents... pp had grown soooo much, his BIG head used to be held within pppp's palm, now his even BIGGER head outgrown our palms already..
every one says pp's eyes are more and more like Qr's... too bad.. would be better if the eyes are like pppp's...

went to grandma's to see pp after work. he's sooooo sweet staring at Qr when she held him. Qr practised with pp what they learned from 1st pekip class, too. pp could hold up his BIG head high when he had his tummy on the bed without any help... great boy!!!

another work day. typhoon was on. went to central for meeting at 14:00, which finished after 16:30. then observatory announced that signal no.8 would be in force before 18:00. rushed back home. skyped pp before 19:00.

gmmo came visit 11:xx, then she accompanied Qr and pp to take the bus to grandma's place before 13:00.
practised what we learnt from pekip in the morning with pp, which made him tired and slept again before we left for grandma's. he slept all his way on the bus, too.
Qr left at 14:40 to go back home to tidy things up and get ready for work again...

First pekip day. Auntie fafa & uncle jeff came over at 10:35 to pick Qr and pp up to go to wanchai for pp's first pekip day. when we arrived, the instructor said she had mixed up the classes and pp should attend the next class. so uncle jeff drove us to admiralty to take the visa photos first, and then drove us back to wanchai to attend the class just-in-time.
it's fun in the class, but pp got tired by the end and couldn't finish with the massage. then we went over to harbour city to have tea with gmmo, auntie woo & uncle alex. afterwards, we went to the baby floor to shop for pp before heading back home. long day out for pp, and with the class, pp fell asleep the whole time in tst, and after back home. he did whined a bit, but went to sleep around 22:xx.
he didn't wake up until 01:xx and then slept all his way to 06:xx. good boy, must be really tired... :P

pp slept in Qr's bed after feeding around 23:xx, so both slept there till 02:xx when Qr woke up, followed by pp. After all the routine -- whining, diaper-changing, whining feeding, poo-ing, diaper-changing -- pp went quiet and stayed in his bed. Qr was watching him via IP cam and hopefully he would go to sleep on his own. (@03:20)
surprisingly, pp didn't wake up until 06:30. Qr got up already at 06:00 and got everything ready except pp. so there's still plenty of time to wash his face, change diapers, feed him and to take him to the creche.
Picked him up at 18:00, he was sleeping. the 'teacher' there said he sometimes 'ngou geai' for feeding.
played with pp and held him in my arms most of the time. he finally fell asleep around 22:xx... wishful thinking -- he will only wke up at 08:00... :P

pp-pick up day, since grandma had to take grandpa to the hospital for body check up the next day (Friday).
it's also a day with typhoon signal no.3 hoisted. the creche called Qr to remind herthat in case the signal no.3 or above would be hoisted before 08:00 on Friday, it would not admit pp, and Qr would have to take care of pp herself, which means she would have to stay at home with pp and work from there, or take pp with her to go to work.
luckily no rain at night when Qr went to grandma's place and when she left with pp. However, to play safe, and to arrive home early, Qr chose to took a short taxi ride home... :)

a good and bad day... laptop suddenly 'died' this morning at 04:xx. As Qr had a video date with pp at night, Qr quickly dug out the backup laptop, installed communication applications, but found out that the backup laptop didn't have web cam. at the same time, pppp reminded Qr that the 'dead' laptop was still under warranty.
so Qr took the dead laptop with her to work. it was a heavy one, so Qr removed the bettery and didn't take the adaptor.
contingency plans include 1. repair the dead laptop; 2. buy a web cam; and/or 3.buy a new laptop / netbook.
however, in the end, when Qr cancelled a lunch date and rushed to the repair centre during lunch time, the laptop got back to life!!!

when Qr returned home, she came across a secondary schoolmate on mtr -- they hadn't met since after matriculation! she had a girl (1y9m) & a boy (7m). her hubby drove me home... really nice of him... :)

skyped pp tonight and captured instances as pictures. grandma said he didn't eat as much as before.

today was the day to put pp back to grandma's again. pp had meals at 00:30, 03, 05, 07. then Qr played with pp on Qr's bed, while pppp was watching... :)
held pp in Qr's arms and Qr took the bus to grandma's place. pp slept all the way to grandma, and looked for meal only when Qr & pp arrived. good...

last night was quite regular, after the 22:50 meal, pp woke up at 02:30, 05:30, 07:00 and 08:30. Qr cut his fingernails during the feeding as well, no blood yet... :) afterwards we had an emergency here and the chair had to be cleaned, the floor had to be mopped and pp's clothes had to be changed, on top of a diaper change... lastly, there was a small event that pp was saved from cleaning, but Qr had to go taking a shower...
after the morning feeding, Qr put him on the kaloo playmat from fafa and pp had a nap there. when he woke up, he started playing with the hanging toys...
pp was really growing now... :) pp now likes talking to people, and likes people talking to him. pp also likes looking around. Hope he can move himself soon and he will be able to do more exploration. for instance, he was exploring his hand and fingers with his mouth.. haha...
in the afternoon, went to elements to meet with uncle hei & auntie florence. afterwards, met with GMmo @ the mtr station and go back to Qr's place together. GMmo made dinner for Qr and GMmo while Qr fed pp and made him sleep.

pp-pick up day. left work before 18:00 to go to his grandma's place. had dinner with his grandparents while he was whining in his sleep. afterwards, he woke up but refused to eat -- although it's already time for meal.
tried to feed him but he kept his lips tightly shut, so Qr took the bottle with her and took him back home. pp woke up during the bus ride and i fed him on the bus to keep him quiet.
he was in such a sleepy state during the whole journey he was half asleep. he did wake up and looked for food. smarty Qr had prepared a bottle of bmilk for pp and he ate it and fell asleep again.
back home pp was looking around, wondering if he found the place familiar yet new.

skyped pp at night... he smiled and laughed. as he eats his right hand and the fingers now, grandma used the towel to wrap his hand up because he eats his fingers but the finger nails (albeit cut already) hurt his mouth. grandma only knew this because when pp threw up some milk, it has a shade of pink... :o
so now his right hand is like wearing a boxing glove... :P

Missing pp A LOT!!!
1st day officially as a working mom...
1st work day, catching up with project buddies. boss said mid-year performance review with me tomorrow -- i didn't even remember my job title when i filled in an HR form this morning... :P
went to Jusco tonight as there is a bb sale, bought another 8 packs of diapers (already bought 10 packs @ bb fair in wanchai), wipes, and bb-related stuff mainly for inventory purpose.
skyped grandma & pp at 22:xx. pp had finished 125ml milk, but refused to sleep. Qr chatted with pp for a while and got off.

last night - first night with only Qr and pp - pp woke up at 02:xx, 05:xx and 06:50 this morning after the final feeding at 23:xx last night. expected as qr didn't use bottle feeding or formula.
first time of nail cutting - Qr helped pp cut his finger nails. she did it in the morning (unlike the usual night cutting) and when pp was wide awake (unlike the usual sleeping time cutting). so far, no first blood dropped yet.. :P
today was the last day of Qr's leave.
in the afternoon, Qr and pp started our journey to grandma's. Qr stayed there for an hour to play with pp before she left. pp had been whining and crying quite a bit today, and getting out of control on the final part of the trip to grandama's, just like last night at the airport -> airport express -> taxi. maybe he knew pppp left last night, and Qr would part with him for the coming days? :(

today pppp left.. we had a peaceful day staying at home, packing and cleaning. we went out for breakfast, and afterwards for tea and window shopping for watches.
after 19:00, we left home the 3rd time today - this time for the airport and the first time pp went there. unfortunately he got all crazy when we had dinner @ 黃枝記... pp's grandma joined us. pppp fed pp a little and changed diapers for him twice and pp calmed down a little. then we said goodbye before the restricted area and Qr and pp went for airport express... pp still behaved until Qr settled down in the compartment. he got all out of control and cried all the way from airport express to taxi and didn't stop even when we arrived home.
pppp sms-ed me and called me when he had to get abroad.. Qr was on the taxi instructing the taxi driver, getting the pass to show to the guard, and holding a crying pp -- we could only talk briefly and hanged up shortly... hope he is having a safe trip now...

pppp went out early morning. Qr and pp stayed at home. pp got crazy before noon and took some time to calm down.
in the afternoon, Qr and pp went out to happy valley to meet up with pppp, auntie annie & scarlett, and auntie pauline & eldon @ auntie pauline's home. it was so crazy.. all the kids screaming together and running around.. pp laughed out loud when auntie pauline's mom talked to him... and eldon was such a climber -- he climbed so fast with his really 肥美的大髀 -- which were thicker than my arms... we stayed till after dinner.. it was so nice of auntie annie and uncle troy to drive Qr and pp home.
pppp went out early morning. Qr and pp stayed at home. pp got crazy before noon and took some time to calm down.
in the afternoon, Qr and pp went out to happy valley to meet up with pppp, auntie annie & scarlett, and auntie pauline & eldon @ auntie pauline's home. it was so crazy.. all the kids screaming together and running around.. pp laughed out loud when auntie pauline's mom talked to him... and eldon was such a climber -- he climbed so fast with his really 肥美的大髀 -- which were thicker than my arms... we stayed till after dinner.. it was so nice of auntie annie and uncle troy to drive Qr and pp home.

we had sushi for brunch, and then went shopping for pp stuff for his stay at grandma's place starting september.

the dentist called that Qr could go over in the afternoon, so Qr accompanied pppp and pp to the bus-stop to go to grandma's place after shopping before she headed towards the dentist's.
the dental operation went well, and Qr went to grandma's place to meet up with pppp (who went out for awhile), pp and grandma to have dinner afterwards.
arrived home after 22:00 and pppp went out for business discussion with uncle ivan and succesfully transferred his lenovo netbook.. :)

today we went to sony service centre after brunch to get pppp's mp3, a present from buying vaio. Qr wanted to buy the wide angle lens for tg5, but since we hadn't registered as a member, we were not entitled to the 10% off, so we saved $$$ from not buying.. :P
afterwards, we passed by hsbc, thus Qr exchanged the won back to hkd to sponsor the dental expense this week.
uncle paul called, so we had tea @ langham match too before we headed back home.
before we reached home, we bought a teapot and some tea cups for uncle libor, too...

This morning we used the kaloo playmat for the first time. pp quite liked lying on the mat... :)

picked up pp from grandma's place, and then took him to visit 'come por' in the afternoon with grandma and 'biu yi'.
afterwards, we had dinner at a restaurant, and he ate with us at the same time... good that he still remember how to ate.. :)
missed pp a lot, he really looked different and bigger after not seeing him for 4 days. sooo good to hold him in my arms again.. ^o^

went to seoul for 4 days... but was still able to see pp every day via skype...

pp loves it when Qr sings 'head, and shoulders, knees and toes, knees and toes'... there are two versions of the songs, and he loves them both. he will smile when he listens to Qr singing, and if he is starting to cry, he will stop crying when Qr plays and sings the songs to him.
today we took pp to grandma's place and pp would stay there for 5 nights... missed him a lot already when we left grandma's place...

Exactly 2 weeks after and Qr has to be back to work, really NOT looking forward to that.
Worked on some job research (replied a email and register with Hay)
pp was 扭眼目訓 again, and Qr felt helpless as well. Nothing worked -- held him, fed him, rocked him, sitting, standing, walking around, patted him, kissed him... cried for 1.5 hours and he finally fell asleep, but then he still cried a bit during his sleep... was he having a nightmare? what was he dreaming about? if he was dreaming, what could make him cry in his dream?

Family day finally... pppp, pp and Qr went for breakfast, then shopping for pp, back home for a nap, and went out for dinner and dessert before going back home to call it a day.
pp didn't cry at all during bathing -- first time ever. pppp said it happened before, but that time he was sleeping, so couldn't really count. This time, he enjoyed the hair-washing part as well. he raised his right hand, like he wanted to wash his own hair.. :)
unfortunately, pp started to 扭眼目訓 tonight, and cried non-stop even when we held him.
again, Qr would say, babies are poor (可憐 / 慘), living in a world he can't communicate, no one understands them, and they don't understand anyone. they have to breathe, sweat, feel hot / cold / itchy / pain / wet / dry / full / hungry / ache, eat, throw, move, sleep, pee, poo, look, listen, smell, cry, sneeze, drool, wear clothes, put on diapers,... so busy, so much to learn and to do, and sometimes unnatural to him compared to when they are in their mother's tummy. when Qr thinks of these, Qr feels so sorry for pp... :(

today we are going to visit Qi's palace, so princess Castor and prince Pollux will meet with pp the second time. :)
just reminded by Qi that it was in fact the first time pp visited Qi palace as a person. He did visit Qi palaces before he was still in Qr's tummy though.
since pppp had appointments to attend, Qr took GMmo's offer to get a free ride to her home first, and then had lunch with GMmo's mother, bean & Auntie Woo, and finally went to Qi's palace.
GMmo's mother was sooo thrilled about seeing pp, and Qr believed she really had fun playing with pp, although he didn't behave all the time. pp enjoyed looking at and listening to GMmo's mother a lot, too.
@ Qi's, pp had his 2nd footprint in his life (the first one being done by Union when he's in hospital), for both left & right feet. GMs, aunties & uncle had been very kind and treated pp with love & care.

Auntie Noel came over to drive Qr and pp to a-kee for lunch with T&L ladies. afterwards we went up to the office and stayed there till 17:xx to catch up with our ex-colleagues. they all praised pp having big eyes, being handsome, and being a good boy -- when he didn't cry..
today was the first day pp in stroller.. so far, Qr preferred holding pp more.. :P
and today's experience: pp would not fall into sleep in the stroller -- if he's crying, strolling him could not make him stop... not a good sign
it's the first day to use mama bag, too... Qr liked the many compartments inside, she would even be happier if there were more.. -- just as the pencil case compartments which she liked when she was small...

we bought another 4 packs of newborn diapers... i was wondering how many pp had used already -- should have tallied from day 1... :P

this morning went to creche to register for the temporary infant care service.. could only register for 2 days in september... soooo popular...

Today we bought the car for pp - the japanese one. Guess this is a practical choice. If Qr goes impractical, might as well bought the dream car... :P
Went to pp's grandma's & grandpa's place as pppp needed to set up a shelf there to put pp's stuff. then pppp & Qr went for dinner and movie G.I. Joe... nice 2-people-world, probably the second since pp was back home from Union (the first was the night we went to the master for the choices of names)

pp went test drive this morning. after a few calls, finally located the latest european car for test drive. pp had 2 options: a european one or a japanese one. Qr of course preferred a european car, and this one is made in Italy. the japanese one is unfortunately made in asia (china or se asia, i suppose.)
Qr had a very important requirement: single hand operation. she had shortlisted the candidates to 2 cars:

pp test-drove both and didn't complain on either. Qr test-drove both, too, and both were smooth. the compartment of the european car is wider and longer, but the japanese car is much lighter. Price-wise, surprisingly, japanese car is more expensive than the european one, while the latter can use till pp is 4 years old (the former can use till 2 years old only)

today was a busy day.... pp woke us up at 04:xx and 08:xx. After feeding him, Qr took pp to the big bed and we all slept till 11:xx. As we had a doctor appointment at 12:45, we had to rush for it without any breakfast (except for pp, of course, who had his feeding before taking off). pp had his nth vaccination, but the first one witnessed by pppp & Qr. pp cried a bit only when the needle was plucked into his left thigh, brave boy!!! he also had to swallow one vaccination, which was a bit sweet, so he 'dap-ped' quite contentedly...
latest measures:
head circumstances - 40.5 cm, 97th percentile
body length - 58 cm, 75th percentile
weight - 4.62 kg, 25th percentile
afterwards, gotta went to MCHC for the blood test report. everything was fine, and his yellowish had finally gone down to 6x. So no need to go back to MCHC for this anymore.
pppp & Qr had a late lunch / tea, went back home, and then Qr went out by herself the 2nd time since maternity leave. this time Qr went to BB fair to buy diapers, napkins, milk bottles, etc. soooo tired...

holding pp for a long time today, as he's restless and cried whenever he's put on the rocking chair or bed... Qr doesn't mind holding pp -- in fact she likes to do that a lot -- but is worried that when Qr is back to work, no one will hold pp as much, and it will be difficult for pp to adjust to the change.
pp has been having full bmilk for some time, this will be another thing pp has to adjust after Qr is back to work, as he will need to have formula -- at least partially -- again..
when Qr thinks about it, pp has been indeed going through a lot of hardship and changes and challenges... poor him... when he was in Qr's tummy, he didn't need to worry about anything, he just floated and moved around in the tiny little space... now he needs to adjust to our world: he has to suck hard to get food, he tries to communicate -- but no one understands him, he cries to get attention, but sometimes gets ignored, he tries to move but cannot control his muscles, he needs to poo and pee and waits for the adults to change the diapers to get cleaned, and he has a big head to support...

still need to see see how to take care of pp after we are back to work... (just-in-time contingency plan)
put pp to Qr's bed this morning after morning feeding & diaper-changing and he slept there so soundly like a piggy...
pp has been attempting to 'eat' his own hand these days, sometimes he succeeds, sometimes he fails. it's indeed a milestone if he can consistently and succesfully 'eat' his own hand(s), as this means he has control of the muscles of his hands, arms and shoulders, master eye-hand coordination, and have a feeling of what distance is. today while he's very hungry, he attempted to 'eat' his right hand -- his favourite hand, but while the attempts were not very successful, he changed to 'eat' his left hand -- and succeeded! And yes, he ate his hand in the form of fist, not just one finger -- that will be another milestone...

This afternoon got the meaning of pp's name from luk sifu.
pp has been able to focus on our faces, on the musical mobile above the bed, and moving objects. he could see more. also he tried to make sounds these days, although Qr does not understand what he means, he's definitely trying to communicate. he also has a stronger neck now, and can hold up his head for a little while -- but only a little while, because his head is too big for him.. :P
Today Qr bathed pp the second time.

last night was better than expected, after feeding before midnight, pp only woke up at 03:xx and then 07:xx.
This morning went to PMH for pp to have blood testing. After waiting for an hour, we were admitted into the room for consultation. Then it's blood-drawing time, and they asked pppp and Qr to leave the room... :o i could hear pp cry inside the room when his blood was drawn... :'(
when the door was open, pp no longer cried, but another surprise came -- i thought they drew blood from baby via the sole, it turned out that they drew the blood from the back of his left hand. when pp came out, his left hand was sticked with a cotton ball... poor little baby... :(
pp is 5 weeks old now, holding him in Qr's arm today and she was amazed how big pp has become -- 40-cm-circumferenced head, 57-cm body length, and 4.33-kg weight per PMH -- and the growth since the day he was born.

Today was Qr's first day to bathe pp. he cried while washing his hair (which is his daily ritual), but quite enjoyed the bathing.. :)
Today was PP's birthday, therefore we went over to a restaurant in her area for dinner. Since it's close to my ex-ex-company, i went there to visit the ex-colleagues before dinner. pppp went with me, and i came across the big boss at the entrance as he was on his way out. pp was highly praised by my ex-colleagues, and so was pppp.. :)

10:30 visited the panel doc (so free of charge) who has got great comments @ baby kingdom. Unfortunately, the doc said he will open his own clinic around end of the year. by then, gotta see see if he's still panel doc -- provided i'm still at my current company la -- or i'll need to find pp another doc.
14:xx went for tea and met with pppp's friend who had just finished a lunch appointment in the area.
pppp, pp & Qr all went for a nap in the evening for almost 3 hours -- sooo nice!!! then we went out for vegetarian dinner. pp had bmilk there, too. good that he's not having formula which is not officially vegetarian food, haha...

after 30 mins of crying (from 00:15 - 00:45), pp finally fell asleep by himself.
話口未完, pp suddenly cried in his sleep.. so pppp hugged him back to sleep.
and surprisingly, he didn't wake up until 05:00... and then 08:00 - however, Qr wouldn't believe that she's so lucky, likely it's a single separate incidence and probably won't happen again tonight.
pppp needed to go to work today, pp was still awake, so Qr played with him with black-&-white patterns to stimulate his eyesight, with a big colourful book about cat, hat, rat, mat... and with the wooden haba toys, and finally with some crawling practice before he whined for feeding and went to sleep.

this morning, pppp was officially sick. we went to the doc and he's got 急性扁桃腺發炎... doc gave him 5 days of medication, and said if it persists/gets worse, may need to operate... :o
Grand-uncle 4, Grand-auntie 4 and Ah Yi as well as GG came to visit pp. Ah Yi is 16 years old and has gone to Leeds for studies (year 11) for a year, now just came back for summer vacation.

took a nice shower in the morning... so happy.
today was the first day Qr went out without pppp or pp -- Qr went to the book fair today!!!
unlike past years... Qr didn't look at Qr's books, didn't stay long, and didn't buy much. Qr just went to children's paradise for pp's flash cards and missed pppp and pp all the time.
finally bought a set of dot flash cards for pp.
in the evening, Uncle Anthony and Auntie Ivy came over to visit us. pppp has confirmed he's got a sore throat.. :(
pp is one month old today. tonight pppp, pp & p will have dinner with YY & MM.
pp has been scratching his face these days. now all scarred on the forehead.. :(
GMIrene came over in the morning and brought over Cova mini tarts and biscuits to celebrate pp's full-moon birthday. We also tried to train pp not to eat too frequently. pp was crying so poorly... :P

pppp will go back to work today and may have dinner plan, so Qr organized plans for Qr & pp.. :)
finally Auntie Noel came over to pick up Qr and pp, and all three of us went to senryo @ elements at around 14:00. pp had ealy lunch with colleagues and then came by to take care of pp, so that Qr and Auntie Noel could eat and talk more freely.
After lunch, pppp went to tst for a tea appointment with an ex-colleague, and Qr and Auntie Noel took pp for a little shopping and Auntie Noel drove us back home before 17:00.
so far so good, but Qr thinks the bb bag needs to be lighter. travel light is important if Qr only travels with pp.

final 5 days of 'moon sitting', looking forward to being free!!!
not sure if pp was too excited yesterday, last night he was very restless, and didn't sleep soundly.
today, pp has outgrown his babysuits. yesterday, he wore the jordan socks from GMmo & Auntie Winnie. the socks were supposed to be for 0 - 3 months. pp wore one pair on the day he was discharged from Union, and they were just-made. today, pp wore the 2nd pair and he had already outgrown the socks... :o

typhoon signal no.9 was already hoisted when pp woke us up at 03:45. there was red rain warning as well. when pp woke us up again at 06:30, signao no.8 was back. and in the morning it came down to signal no.3.
GMmo & Auntie Woo picked us up at 11:30 and we all went to Senryo @ elements together. GMJasmine & Auntie Regina arrived earlier and got a table for 10. GMIrene, King Eddie, Princess Castor & Prince Pollux arrived afterwards. C&P and even King were so excited to see pp, and C&P expressed unseen gentleness in front of pp... :o

typhoon signal no.1 was hoisted since last night. observatory said higher singal may be hoisted later today. tomorrow will be a pre-full-moon lunch gatherings with Qi & her family, GMmo & auntie woo, and GMj @ elements. hopefully the weather will not be too bad. the good thing is GMmo & auntie woo will come over to drive us. :)
we told pppp's mom that we are going out today and tomorrow, so that she can take some rest and no need to come over. then we can all take some rest and relax today. :)
one more week, and i won't need to wash hair & body with ginger water; I won't need to drink 'fried rice water', I won't have to have rice for breakfast, lunch & dinner; and i can get wet with 'raw water' - so i can start bathing pp... :) I can also bring pp out everyday if i want. pppp won't be so sun fu, and pppp's mom won't need to come over almost everyday.
pp knew how to suck his hand or thumb these couple of days la... this is a milestone, i suppose, as it requires coordination to put the thumb / hand into mouth... :)

looking for a doc for pp in this area... getting there... there is one panel doc with positive comments from mothers @ baby kingdom. also called staff insurance hotline and out of 6-in-1, 4-in-1 can be claimed, better than nothing la.. :)
while i was looking for information related to my living area, came across a post about nursery school, and i curiously investigated on it, and found that even if i applied now, pp wouldn't not be admiited into n1 - which is 2 years later - due to the long waiting list.. :o
an agent called me for a position, see see how it goes la...

last night the midnight feeding, pp ate from 00:00 - 02:30, 'coz he first had 80ml bmilk from bottle, then have an interim of bf, then had another 35ml bmilk from bottle. after that, he still was hungry and pppp finally gave him formula of 60ml.. totalling 175ml in one meal!
finally, pp went to sleep till 05:55 this morning.
pppp slept till 10:00 this morning, waken up by Qr and pp. he had appointment at noon and had to leave home at 11:30, but he was very tired after struggling with pp last night.

pppp needed to go for a talk / seminar in kwun tong and left home @ 13:45. at the same time, Qi a.k.a. GMi arrived to visit pp, but they didn't come across one another, probably taking different lifts.. :)
pp was naughty last night, after Qr bf-ed him @ 04:xx, he refused to go back to sleep and still 扭計, so pppp took the shift and pacify him with diaper-changing, hugging, water feeding, and finally another round of bottle-feeding with bm and put pp back to bed at 07:xx. all of us then slept peacefully till 10:00 when pp woke up again...
pp's grandma had made a 'rice bag' for him, hopefully it will help him get a more soundly sleep.

went to Imd in Shatin for birth cert. orginally wanted to submit applications for passport as well, but we didn't know we need to get a 'chou' for that, so by the time we got the birth cert. and went over to the passport section, it's already full. so we decided to mail the application later.
went to simply thai @ NTP to have lunch -- yellow curry with chicken & green curry with sea bass, hopefully pp would like the taste of curry.. :P
finally bought sony TG5 to take pp's DV, quite expensive, but still $2k cheaper than JVC's x900, which was not as good as we thought...
these days, i have visited the nursery rooms of different shopping centres, surprisingly, so far, the one @ NTP 3 was the best, with TV and music in the room - though it's the same room where babies can change diapers -- which means if someone is changing diapers, then i cannot bf there. The ones @ CTW have separate rooms for bf, but there is nothing inside except a chair.
Pampers' nb diapers were on sale @ mannings, $65.8 for 2 packs, versus the normal discounted price of $49.9 each. bought one month's volume in 2 rounds, i.e. 8 packs totalling 256 pieces... scary!!! by the end of one month, pp should be over 5kg and may need to upgrade to size S, let's see.. :)

luckily for the 10:00 bf, he only 溢奶 a little...

after 20:00, we all went out to eugene to get the breast shells, bf blanket and sling... finally got all of them. while we had dinner @ a shanghai restaurant, Qr had to use the bf blanket immediately, too... from now on, Qr probably needs to wear shirts to more convenient bf la...

since we've got the name choices from sifu, what we need to do is to decide which name to take, and inform sifu, then he will give us a 小批. at the same time, we can use that name to apply for birth certificate, ID card, passport, etc.
so today we went to nearby shopping centre to have pp's passport photo taken. what a hassle to get him awake but not crying... luckily we've got one picture of him after some struggle.
i wanted to buy a 通勝 for 諸葛神算 to check on the name choices, but apparently, the bookstores do not carry it, is it because it's a '勝', not a '書'?
in the evening, GMmo dropped by, and Qr asked her to sign the form to prove that pp's picture is pp himself, and so we needed to confirm the name of pp... Qr and pp in the interim agreed to 凱翹 (Hoi Kiu). we still have from now till Mon if we want to change our mind, as we will go to imd on Tue for the gov't documents...
since we've got the name choices from sifu, what we need to do is to decide which name to take, and inform sifu, then he will give us a 小批. at the same time, we can use that name to apply for birth certificate, ID card, passport, etc.
so today we went to nearby shopping centre to have pp's passport photo taken. what a hassle to get him awake but not crying... luckily we've got one picture of him after some struggle.
i wanted to buy a 通勝 for 諸葛神算 to check on the name choices, but apparently, the bookstores do not carry it, is it because it's a '勝', not a '書'?

Today was the first day i went out without pp, pppp came with me so pppp's mom stayed behind at my place to take care of pp.
we first went out to central while pppp went to post office to get my letters for me, and I went straight to wanchai to go to my chinese doctor. however, due to the lower frequency of MTR trains @ non-peak hours, pppp came to take the same train with me and we came across at platform again.
when we arrived @ wanchai, pppp first went to exchange milk powder for pp (i saw someone from baby kingdom who wanted to exchange snow's smart baby 1 for nestle's nan 1, and then went to meet with his business partner who was lending 2 baby english name book to him, while i went to the doctor.
afterwards, since it's still too early to see luk sifu to get the names for babies, i walked back to the area where pppp and his business partner was and what a coincidence, i came across them on the street (i didn't know where they were and how they planned to walk to luk sifu's, 'cos there were so many different routes).
we walked back to luk sifu's (whose office is located at the same building as chinese doc's). we waited for luk sifu and got the name results from si jie. si jie said pp's 'ba zi' is very good and she thought i had C-section and had picked the time for pp to be born. when i told her i had natural delivery, she praised me very o力女 - not for having given natural birth, but having given a good 'ba zi' to pp... :P
returned home after all these activities. then took pp out to have dinner with uncle hugo and his wife nearby. pp cried at the 2nd half of dinner and i had to take him to the shopping centre's nursery room to bf him. this kind of facility is in fact quite good and convenient for me.. then i don't need to take bottled milk out... :P

pp is 2 weeks' old la... today Qr needed to go back to Union for post-natal check up at 13:30.
we arrived before that but had to wait till after 14:30 to see dr. yuen. in between, pp cried for milk but the nurse advised us not to leave the area, so i couldn't bf him @ the nursery room downstairs.
So we gave him water instead, and he fnished 50ml!!! he doesn't like water but i guess he's too hungry that he had no choice but to take it. :P
dr. yuen said pp could get more sunshine on the hands & feet to help remove the yellowish. she also arranged to get a sample size snow brand smart baby 1 for pp, too.. :)

went to MCHC (finally know about its officially name - mother-child healthy centre) this afternoon. this time is a different doctor and she's much better than the last one. she asked very detailedly about bf and said that we have done a good job so far.. :)
for record:
yellowish - 12x per forehead, 147 per chest
-> doc said as expected, and should be ok... no need to check again until full-moon time
weight - 3.43kg, up from 3.15kg when pp's 6 days old
-> doc said good progress, and even better if pp has this progress without formula
today the nurse said no measurement of length until 2 months old wor... -_-
after MCHC visit, we went to 翠華 for tea, i had 奶醬豬 and hot lemon honey... nice... ^o^
after accompanying us back home, pppp needed to go to central to work... sun fu pppp la... :(
good that he finished the work at 19:xx and they went for company dinner for the business they had closed just now.

last night Qr was really really tired, and fell asleep before pp and pppp did. Qr also felt cold during midnight... (~_~)
this morning pp used his sharp nails on his face and drew the first blood... :(
pp very 扭計 today, feeding 扭計, stop feeding 又扭計, 掃風又扭計, at the same time he is so 猛憎 he scratched me with his sharp fingernails.
hehe... went out tonight to have dessert @ 明師傅 - hot creme brulee. Really not bad... :)
went to broadway to look at DV as well, still couldn't conclude which one to buy...

no visitors today, finally can take some rest...
pp was quite good last night, after midnight feeding, woke up at 03:25, then 07:45.
this morning he woke up at 10:35 and finally got back to sleep before 13:00, and woke up again at 14:45.
he has got a lot of lup lup starting yesterday, need to ask ask the doc next tue whether it's due to heat or allergy.
today was the '12th morning', pppp had already got the ginger-vinegar from his mom, but i couldn't take it still.

time flies.. last week this time, i was just discharged from the hospital, and pp got to be on board for phototherapy. Now he's 10 days old already.
pppp's got things to do today, so Qi came early this morning to accompany me, and help me change 2 of the diapers... :P pp behaved when Qi was around, didn't cry for milk even though he's hungry as he uses to do.
this afternoon Uncle Benjamin P & Auntie Ov came over with their 6-month old prince Ian. Ian's birthday is one day after me, easy to remember.. haha. They brought over a lot of useful stuff for pp as well.. including a feeding cushion, a new sleeping bag for newborn, and out-grown clothes... :)
in the evening, GMmo and Auntie w dropped by with the gift from Auntie fafa - a LOVELY kaloo 123 activity playmat, and gifts from i-kee buddies - mannings coupons, fitted sheets, bumper, and a sleeping bag...
pp is sooo loved by everyone... hoi sum hoi sum ^o^

pp had some good sleep last night, so had we.. :)
he had his last feeding finished around midnight, and he slept till 03:00 before he woke us up for more food. After finishing the feeding routine at 04:15, we all went back to sleep till 07:00 this morning -- really not bad.
Uncle Paul L came over today and we all went down to the restaurant for lunch. pp almost slept for the whole trip except at the end when he was waken up by hunger.
went to the doc @ health service today... soooo sloowww motion, seems like she needed to think about what to do next with my pp... yellowish still 178, need to visit her again next tuesday...
the doctor confirmed my impression, pp's head size is getting larger... she measured the size of pp's head and it's over 37 cm, compared to the 36.5 cm when he arrived to the world.
today pp 'zum cha' to Qr... 多謝晒
went down to clubhouse with 60ml of b milk in bottle... and pp finished all in one go in perhaps less than 10 minutes... he even used his left hand to push my hand which was holding the bottle to make sure i wouldn't remove the bottle from his mouth... :o
hehe.. so far... pp almost went out every day:

29 Jun (mon): went to health service, A-1 bakery, citistore for a mini-electric fan, and flea-icide, mannings
30 Jun (tue): went to health service, cafe de coral for breakfast, mannings, white sugar cake

2 Jul (thu): stayed in
3 Jul (fri): went to restaurant downstairs, went to health service, then broadway for pppp's bluetooth, and lastly to club house's gym

today Qr got a present from pppp's mom.. :)
pp woke up more often last night, pppp and Qr could only sleep according to his schedule... (-.-)Zzz...
the day after publich holiday, is just another day for Qr and pp, but for pppp, he may have pressure working a bit... sun fu pppp la...
faxed the needed information to master L today, see see what he will return for pp...

Day 4 of pp back to palace

totally forgot about today being a public holiday. Public holiday is more meaningful when one needs to work.. :P
today pp is already one week's old... sooooo fast...
Qr's mom, dad, sis & bro came to visit pp, and took some really nice pictures. afterwards, Auntie V has already put pp's pictures on the facebook, haha... first time pp has got posted.. :) as for me, i still haven't had time to select the pictures yet.. :P
today is also the first time Qr changed a wet diaper all by herself... ^o^
the next milestone is to change a soiled diaper by herself.. :P
today is also the day umbilical cord has finally detached, too, and witnessed by GMmo. :)

又如何?
on my first day admitted to the hospital, i needed to lie in bed for 6 hours before being allowed to walk around, pppp went for his first parents-baby session to see pp by himself.
parents-baby sessions are the only chance daddies are allowed to hug / touch their babies when they are in hospital. mommies have more opportunities as there are 6 feeding sessions in which we can hold the princes / princesses.
in that first session, pppp heard one of the daddies exclaimed excitedly to the baby in hand, "你終於做到香港仔喇!!!"
香港仔, 又如何?
